The Schoolmasters' Club of Chelan County held its first meeting at the county superintendent's office on Saturday November 30. Superintendent Lynch of Cashmere presided and principals Nance Wenatchee Wolf Leavenworth discussed cooperation among schools, parents, and boards to unify efforts and improve education.

Wenatchee Valley & Northern to cross Wenatchee River

For two weeks a pile-driving crew on a barge has driven piling for the Wenatchee Valley and Northern railway crossing the Wenatchee River. The crossing site is near the west end of Main Street, south of the old Glaeser residence, as reported by the Leavenworth Echo.

Former champion boxer to open athletic school in Wenatchee

The former Northwest middleweight champion and Canadian and Alaska heavyweight champion will start an athletic school in Wenatchee. He plans boxing lessons and a handball court with wrist machines. Stabbing After Saturday Night Altercation at Tumwater Saloon

Leavenworth Developments Under Way With Power Plant

Leavenworth sees two major projects in progress the Wenatchee Valley and Northern Railroad and a new $1,000,000 Great Northern power plant west of town. About 130 men work on the railroad construction with the grade through town nearly complete and portions up the Chumstick.
