Polo-Crosse Carnival Huge Success At Wellington Club

The rural Queen’s Funds received nothing as Narromine won the P B Douglas Cup for B grade while Nesima captured the Harry Taylor Cup for local district teams. Spectators enjoyed a thrilling match between two Sydney clubs on show ponies and praised polo-crosse as a strong substitute. The Wellington Club hosted a generous carnival with fine hospitality and an official trophy presentation by President P H Douglas and Miss M Allworth.

Boy Cyclist Collides With Car on Maughan Street

Darrell Miller a 15 year old schoolboy from Simpson Street suffered cuts and abrasions to the leg and head after colliding with a car that swung from the kerb near the Post Office on Saturday morning. He was taken to the Ambulance Station for treatment. the bicycle was undamaged.
