Termite findings ease payment for Cobbora poles
Cobbora Shire Council heard that the NSW Forestry Commission found limited termite activity in poles for the electricity scheme and approved £600 payment to pole suppliers after confirming the poles were fit for use. The commission advised treatment against white ant infestation and the council will proceed, noting the termite issue does not shorten pole life.
