The Appeals Board report concerns three men, Francis Welter Myvine and his wife, accused of trespass in their home. A jury awarded 900 pounds in damages to the complainants. Acting Chief Secretary Colton holds the report with recommendations from Chief Commissioner Mackay to uphold the finding and reinstate the three men in light of new evidence.
Thelma Cooper, from Sydney, was washed out to sea yesterday while riding a rubber float at Thirroul. An hour later she was found unconscious in the water and brought ashore. Artificial respiration restored consciousness after treatment.

Divorces office in Sydney reports a rising tally with 2225 petitions registered by Tuesday and expected to reach 2230 over the weekend. Last year saw 216 petitions. the prior peak was 2184. A substantial carry-over of matrimonial suits is anticipated for next year with 10 court sittings. Of cases set for hearing this year, 200 were defended and 43 undefended.

Mrs. W. Rowe of 115 William Street East Orange was struck by lightning while using a flag iron during a severe storm. She was rendered unconscious and paralyzed, with a blue flame seen leaving her tread. An Orange ambulance transported her to Base Hospital where she was admitted. Hopes remain for rapid recovery.

Clareney Fuller was fined 8 shillings 8 pence for shooting wild ducks out of season at the Graftes Police Court. The offence occurred during breeding season when wild duck numbers were depleted in the state, according to police who urged a heavier penalty.
