The auxiliary ketch Erskine owned by William Holyman and Sons went ashore on the sportsweed coast of Teamanta on Friday. The six crew members reached safety, but the vessel is believed to be a total wreck.
A destructive fire yesterday afternoon razed a hotel and a store at Graman in the Wavilda district. Firefighters found the blaze well alight on discovery with little chance of saving the premises. No injuries are reported as authorities investigate the cause.
