First Meeting of Wellington District Hospital Directors
The Wellington District Hospital board held its first meeting after last Saturday’s election to hear the ballot result and review a six month financial statement. Twelve directors attended including newly elected J J Fernon. The auditor reported a fair view of receipts and payments ending 30 June 1930 with £1590 11s 0d receipts and £188 14s 2d credit balance. accounts due at 30 June were £220 13s 8d. The chairman urged more publicity and weekly hospital news with the press, while noting a tough year and winter wood shortages.
