Amendment No. 11 Would Expand Texas Water Development

Texas voters will decide on Amendment No. 11 on November 8 to authorize an additional 200 million in bonds and broaden uses of the Texas Water Development Board funds. Gov. Connally and water leaders back the measure, which would raise the fund to 400 million and allow financing for filtration treatment and transportation projects while safeguarding surface water.

In Appreciation Dodson Couple Hosts Community Fish Fry

Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Roberson, long time operators of the Dodson Cafe, hosted a Saturday night fish fry for more than 100 Dodson residents. They served Lake Hall fish, with help from Mrs. Raymond Dearley and Mrs. Ross Swift, and capped the evening with 42 dominoes.
