Senate panel to study wildlife conservation scope

A special U S Senate committee was appointed to investigate all aspects of replacing and conserving wildlife including aquatic and bird life. It will study federal game reservations bird sanctuaries national parks forests migratory birds upland birds predators and fish across Atlantic Pacific Gulf and inland waters. The group will call on multiple federal and state agencies and national organizations, spending potentially a year or more assembling data before advising on legislative changes. The nine member panel is chaired by Senator Frederick C. Walcott with Vice Chairman Senator Harry B. Traves.
