Community faith urges aid as utility bills rise in Wellington
The Wellington Leader notes a church pastor urging donations to the Ministerial Alliance to cover higher utility and gas bills. Funds from Thanksgiving and Easter offerings, Salvation Army, and Panhandle Community Services have been used, but current needs exceed available resources. Community members are asked to contribute to assist local families in distress.

Candlelight Memorial hosted by Wellington BPW Club
The Wellington BPW Club will host its second Candlelight Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday May 27 2003 to honor loved ones. White luminaries will line the Wellington High School track field with a suggested donation of 5 dollars or more for each name. Proceeds benefit M D Anderson Cancer Research.
