Sumnerwood Students Shine In Sports And Scholarships
Adam Herrera son of Mary and Frank Moya born in Slaton attended Pleasanter High and Aransas Pass High before Sumnerwood. He played basketball and football earning honorable mention running back and second team honors. Clint McCloy son of Monte and Nan born in Childress attended multiple towns, led FFA, held office, played football and rodeos, and will study at Frank Phillips College on rodeo scholarship. Natalie Conner daughter of Daryl and Patti from Shamrock excelled in student government, NHS, sports, drama, and won multiple awards. will study at Texas Tech. Lacey Decker daughter of Ralph and Vicki from Sumnerwood excelled in academics and activities, to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
