Wellington High names 1992 valedictorian and salutatorian
In a May ceremony at Wellington High School Auditorium Ashley Spillman is named valedictorian with a 5.0854 GPA and Kimi Henard salutatorian with 4.6556 GPA. Spillman, daughter of Bill and Norma Spillman, is a National Honor Society member and athlete with multiple leadership awards. Henard, daughter of Billy and Debbie Henard, is a longtime NHS and varsity cheerleader.

The Texas Transportation Commission approved 75700 to fund safety improvements at Marian Airpark in Wellington with 90 percent state assistance and 10 percent matching by the city. Planned work includes upgraded runway lights, a wind cone, a segmented circle, a new rotating beacon, fence installation, crack sealing, and painting the city building.

The top four candidates Loretta Wright Larry Adams Pat White and Robert Owens were reelected for three year terms and sworn in.
