Wellington Boys Golf Hosts Windy Regional Tourney
The Wellington Country Club hosted a 19-team boys golf tournament on Tuesday. Strong spring winds challenged players as Vernon edged Motley County by four strokes to win with 349. Dan Dickey of Vernon led individuals with 75, followed by Motley County's Ryan Woolsey at 79 and Ryan Haiduk at 83.

Summerwood Eagles Rally to Beat Follett 9-8 in Comeback
The Summerwood Eagles improved to 4-1 as they came from behind to defeat Follett 9-8. Trailing 8-7 after six innings, Summerwood scored twice in the seventh and shut Follett out in the bottom half. Levi Carter earned the win in relief of Artie Wright with two scoreless innings and added a triple and three RBI. Jay Decker contributed a double and two RBI.

Wellington Tennis Teams Shine At Canyon Tournament
Wellington tennis teams competed in Canyon on March 7 and 8 with Tiffany Williams finishing third in the girls championship and J.J. Swearingen taking second in the boys. In the consolation bracket J.J. Jason and Ryan Roberson both won. Head coach Jane Sims praised the players for consistency and performance. The teams will host a tournament March 21 and 22 starting at 9:00 a.m.

Wellington hosted a March 17–18 girls tournament with 19 teams. Lana Martin led Wellington with 96 as the 9th medalist. Misti Watts posted 98, followed by Sasha Raines 112, Danielle Lindsey 126, and Ashley Taylor 129. Quanah won with 359, Quanah B 398.
