The Texas Highway Commission designated a Farm to Market road at Wellington from US Hwy 83 and State Hwy 203 to FM 1035 about one mile away. Estimated cost is 30000 dollars. The item reflects local infrastructure funding and a planned road extension in Collingsworth County.
The narrator praises a calm spring morning with a north wind and upcoming warmth. He notes ring-necked ducks on Possum Trot's lake and describes pin oaks and willow oaks, then anticipates dogwood blossoms signaling warmer days and guiding planting timing. He recalls a yearly 100 mile journey in a Dodge Rocinante to enjoy the white dogwood bloom and its role as a temperature gauge for planting crops.
Scribbling Scribe Jeff Blackmon writes about reality TV with a wary but amused tone. He prefers shows focused on home renovations such as Flip This House and Designed to Sell, appreciating the transformation and insight into decor and buyer psychology. He notes some episodes reveal truly awful designs and discusses how home interiors influence buying decisions, mentioning a Savannah home with yellow wallpaper and purple shag carpet. He also shares a light joke about telemarketing and a Wellington tailored name that sparks calls. A town hall meeting on a $7 million Wellington medical facility is referenced, with a note to seek a hospital board member for more details.
