Shamrock Sets 10K Run for St Patrick's Day

Shamrock plans a 10K run for St Patrick’s Day with 8 30 a.m. start on Saturday March 15. Pre registration is $8, race day $10, and entrants may register from 7 a.m. at the El Paso Natural Gas Shamrock warehouse. Organizers Ally Alesiani Amarillo Running Club and Amarillo YMCA sponsor the event inviting runners through Shamrock Chamber of Commerce contact (806) 256 2501.

City Sales Tax Nets 12441 for Wellington in 1985

The City of Wellington received a one percent local sales tax check of 12,441.64 from the state comptroller for the period ending January 28, 1985, down from 1984. Statewide 991 cities received 111.8 million in local tax payments. Houston and Dallas led totals with multicity comparisons and transit authorities also distributed 45.5 million to MTAs statewide.
