Texas Towns and British Columbia Vacation Sketch
Glenn and LaVerne McLain returned from a trip visiting Henderson and DeSoto in Texas to see sons Chester and Lynn, then flew to Seattle to meet Steve McLain. The trio fished 10 days in British Columbia at Lake Lawrence and rivers while Mrs. McLain visited Teddy in Lubbock. A rainbow trout fish fry capped the voyage. In the 1400s people mounted shoes on wooden blocks to keep them dry, the forerunners of heels.
