Gassers Lose as Childress Electrics Win 6 1 in Nine Innings

The Collinganworth Gassers fell to the Childress Electrics 6 to 1 Sunday after nine innings of tight play. Arb Brown made a sensational catch in the first, Brisbin drew two key catches, and Jack Knight pitched well for the Gassers. Morris singled to tie the game in the fourth, but Hall and Knight fanned nine and six respectively as Wellington and others threatened, yet the Electrics pulled away with two runs in the fifth and two in the eighth. The crowd saw solid fielding from the Gassers despite rough ground. The team plans a double header with Shamrock next Sunday at Wellington.
