Memories in a string quilt honors five generations
A lifelong reminiscence of a Fort Worth area family told through a grandmothers quilt. The narrator recalls Civil War tales, farm life, and five generations stitched into a star quilt from scraps and newspaper print. The piece links poverty, dust bowls, drought, schooling, marriage, and enduring memory through fabric.
