Selwyn School in Denton notes Hughes active in campus life as boys dormitory councilor and football commendation recipient. He played Emmanuel in the production of King Lear and will enter Texas Christian University in the fall.
Paul Montgomery and his wife transfer 28.16 acres from section 74 and 3.04 and 0.42 acres from section 68 in block 19 to J W Smith and wife. Smith and wife respond with transfers of 4.58 acres from section 52, 1.20 acres from section 53, 4.04 acres from section 19, and 2.13 acres from section 74 in block 19.
At Texas Tech in Lubbock 97 students received Masters degrees on May 29. Governor John Connally delivered the principal address at eight p.m. The list includes Oscar Dile Helton Jr from Wellington who earned a Master of Arts in English.
