Value of trees boosts home value in wooded lots
Forester Alan Dreesen cites a 1979 to 1982 study of 85 Atlanta homes built by 22 builders showing average lot clearing cost of 860 dollars versus 547 dollars to preserve trees. Trees added about 75,700 dollars to lot value and helped sell faster, with profits offsetting protection costs if buyers pay more for wooded lots. Help clean up Wellington.
