Wellington Volunteer Fire Department Receives $35000 Grant
On Saturday May 24 the Wellington Volunteer Fire Department was awarded a grant to buy 13 sets of bunker gear and four breathing apparatuses. Renee Hensley, granddaughter of Haskell and Mary Baggett, presented the check from Fireman's Fund Insurance Company. She wrote the Heritage Program grant and noted the family’s long town connection. Fireman's Fund has donated over $3 million to U S fire departments in just over three years.
