Peanuts Prospects Bright in Collingsworth County
Collingsworth County peanut crop looks outstanding despite reduced acreage and hot weather. Mike Sawyer of Quail Peanuts says dryland crop is thriving with timely moisture. Prices steady at last year’s level or higher, storage peanuts plentiful. Georgia floods could reduce national acreage by 10 percent if 130000 to 150000 acres are lost.
