Collingsworth CARC opens driving range at Green Acres
The Collings worth Association of Retarded Citizens opens a driving range at the old Green Acres Golf Course on Dodson Highway. Hours are 1 p m to 9 p m weekdays, 9 a m to 5 p m weekends. by appointment. The range funds the Satellite Center and provides work for CARC members with broad community support and donations from local clubs and individuals.

Five weeks of youth camps start Monday at Panfork Baptist Encampment with about 1200 participants from across the Panhandle. Camps run July 6 through August 3 with separate junior girls, boys, youth, and Hispanic programs and a new 6000 square foot dining hall.

Collingsworth farmers expect a record guar price of 20 dollars per hundredweight. With typical moisture, yields reach about 1000 pounds per acre.
