A January 24 1982 campaign runs through January 30 urging residents ages 21 to 60 to pay poll taxes to vote in 1952. Sponsored by the Kiwanis Citizenship Committee as part of Citizenship Month, the effort follows four civic speeches. Sheriff Hubert Mauldin notes 1600 poll taxes have been paid to date.
