Beverly Lingley hit a decisive one-and-one free throw with 7 seconds left as the Rockettes won 45 42, while the Wellington boys rallied in the fourth quarter to edge White Deer 47 45 behind late free throws and a strong defense.

Draft to Call 4 590 in Feb
Austin reports that state draft boards will forward about 4590 males for Army medical examinations in February. Of these, 2644 are said to be 11 year olds, per Col. Morris S. Schwartz Selective Service director. The tests stem from President Johnson’s action in 194 which ordered examining all newly registered men not in school and available for service. Married at eight or in school at that age will not be examined. Induction in February is set for 118 men, down from 229 in January, the lowest since July 1964’s 119. The February Texas quota is 119.
