In the Clarendon tournament on December 14 both junior high boys teams, the home side listed first, won their games. The scores reflect decisive victories for each home squad.
Wellington High School powerlifters hosted a Saturday meet in the Rocket weight room with ten schools and eighty five lifters. Wellington performers included Lemieux fifth, Hamby fourth, Anglin fifth, Derrick tenth, Saldana eleventh, Hernandez fourth, Molina seventh, Mixon eighth, Killian tenth, Torrez third in various weight classes. Coach Keys thanked coaches and supporters and noted upcoming meets at Highland Park on January eighteenth and Childress on January twenty fifth.
Jennifer Brock, great granddaughter of Lottie Brock Handley, plays guard for West Texas A and M Lady Buffs. In the Disney Holiday Classic on November 30 and the Wide World of Sports tournament on December 18 she posted a 4-10 shooting line and 9 points in a 14 point effort against Stephenville, part of her freshman season documented by the Amarillo Globe News. Brock is the daughter of Joe Brock and the late Judy Brock.
A Wellington nursing home notes January and February selections at a resident council meeting naming Louise Tyson as employee honoree and Thelma Rose as resident honoree. Various activities include bingo, rhythm band, Bible study, art class, dominoes, and Pioneer Singers performances with visitors from Hollis and surrounding towns.

Alisa is a junior daughter of Dan and Langford and Taylor a sophomore son of Dan and Allred.
