The Wellington Lady Rockets, led by Coach Hilliard, played three Fort Elliott Tournament games and two district games over Christmas. They opened with a 96 to 10 win over Holy Cross, saw Erin Rainey return with seven rebounds, then fell to Shamrock 75 to 67 in the semi final. In the third place game they defeated Fort Elliott 83 to 60 with five players in double figures Ward 22 Sims 15 McPherson 14 Archie 12 and others contributing.

In Wellington on January 2 the JV Lady Rockets lost 71 49 to Canadian Wildcats as Erin Rainey and Alicia Ward led with 12 points each. Ball handling woes and a 31 turnover count hampered the effort early, dropping their district record to 1-3.
Skyrockets Take 3rd In Fort Elliott Tourney
The Skyrockets finished third in the Fort Elliott Tournament after a 73-68 win over Shamrock. Jermaine Cantu led with 9 points in the final, while Tra Archie added 12 and Lance Kane 15 in a forward-focused effort. Earlier rounds included a 62-27 win over Sumnerwood and a 88-34 loss to Fort Elliott. The team also dropped a 66-62 decision to Canadian, and a 61-50 road setback to Shamrock. Coach Kinnear praised resilience and noted the district record.
