Methodists Move Forward on Church in Wichita Falls
The First United Methodist Church board voted on Sunday February 20 to hold preaching services at Trinity United Methodist Church during sanctuary construction and continue Sunday school in the educational building. Architect Bob Pardue of Pardue Read and Dice reviewed preliminary plans with the building committee led by A J Fires. committee members include Dan Howard Jr Sam Adams and Carthel Lewis. Approval will allow bids on the new sanctuary.

A career clinic for students from three county high schools is set for Wednesday March 2 at Wellington High School auditorium. Keynote speaker Keith Winter will outline career options. Twenty five consultants from colleges and professions will lead two sessions 10:00-10:50 and 11:00-11:50 with an 8:45 orientation. The event is organized by the Chamber of Commerce led by Henry Wells with WHS counselor Louis Graham coordinating. Local banks sponsor a luncheon for consultants.

Seven county youths plus parents and Extension Agent Don Reeves depart Monday February 28 for the Houston Livestock Show junior exhibit.
