Mrs. Horton Leaves Wellington for Odessa

Mrs. W. M. Horton, longtime Wellington resident, departed to Odessa to be with her daughter. She is mother to Mrs. Weldon Cleveland, Mrs. Ernest Harwell, Alvin Horton and Ray Jond Horton.

Former Area Farmer Dies in Libby County Obituary

A former area farmer and local church member died at 3 p.m. at Libbock Memorial Park in Libbock after a long illness. He lived in Berleed before moving from Lebbock. He was married to Miss Matt Le Shew and had two sons Rev. Hugh Blaylock and Rev. ee Da tn Crawley, plus a sister Mrs. 5. B. Bevis. He served in local community roles and pastorates before WW II.

Baccarini To Lecture At West Texas Coaching Clinic

Bob Baccarini of Hy Tunke College will lecture on this offense at the sixth West Texas State Coaching Clinic March 74. Aden headcoach John Ray of the University of Ky and ex Notre Dame assistant will lead the clinic. Baccarini’s Canningis won the Texas Junior College Football Federation title four straight seasons. Texas colleges in TICFF include bowls like the Junior Rose Bowl 1965 1966 and Las Vegas Championship Bowl 1967. Last year Henderson won the Wool Bowl Baccarini was Texas Junior College Coach of the Year 1965.

Roark to Join Texas Students on New York Washington Trip

Mary Ann Roark, a Weliceton girl living in Victoria, is among three Texas seniors chosen for a Tex-Homa International Affairs Seminar for Youth tour. The group, with Oklahoma students, departs Dallas March 7, visits the United Nations, Broadway shows, and congressional sessions in Washington before returning March 15.
