Public hearing on boll weevil eradication in Childress
The Texas Department of Agriculture will hold a public hearing on February 22 at 3:30 p.m. in the City of Childress Auditorium to gather cotton producer input on a proposed assessment rate for the Northern Rolling Plains Boll Weevil Eradication Zone referendum. Comments will help set a maximum assessment for a referendum on April 22 and to decide on a boll weevil eradication program and a seat on the Texas Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation Inc board.
