West Texas Chamber Pushes CCC to Release Feed Cake
The West Texas Chamber of Commerce urges the Commodity Credit Corporation to release at least 50 000 tons of outside cake for cattle sheep and goats amid a severe feed shortage. It cites 8 5 million cattle 11 million sheep and goats and only 170 000 tons of cotton seed cake from 28 mills. The WTCC also opposes two Texas House bills 125 and 126 touching oil and gas lease approvals and land pooling citing risk to land titles and farming rights.
