Meeting to set in motion county child abuse plan
Judge Jim Forrester schedules a February 22 1996 meeting at 10 a.m. in Collingsworth County Court House Commissioner's Courtroom to develop a local child abuse prevention and protection plan with participation of the District Attorney's office law enforcement child welfare boards and child protective services. After planning the document will be reviewed by the County Child Welfare Board and County Commissioners and then submitted to the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services Regional office.

The Collingsworth County Chamber directors voted to sponsor the annual fair for September 6 and 7 with a parade to open festivities.
