Principal Moseley reports 70 students on the honor rolls for the second six weeks at Quail High. A students scored 90 to 100, B students 80 to 89. Seven hundred United Gas Pipe Line Company employees and related firms have joined the armed services. Many serve on fronts and at sea, with five already killed in aviation crashes. Ranks span from colonel to private, including former engineers joining the Seabees. Women assume men’s duties at plants and in dispatch, as the company invests ten percent of payroll in War Bonds and displays the Treasury flag.

Tax Sale of Wellington Property in Collingsworth County
The State of Texas by order of sale will auction the Lot Twenty Nine in Block Two Hundred Seventeen in Wellington, Collingsworth County, on the first Tuesday in March 1943 between 2 and 4 PM at the courthouse door. Proceeds cover taxes, interest, penalties, and costs with two year redemption allowed. Sheriff Paul Bell notes the sale date and terms.
