District 2-2A Unchanged In Latest UIL Alignment
Wellington High School remained in District 2-2A as UIL realignment left the Panhandle area largely steady. Wellington will compete with Canadian Clarendon Memphis Quanah and Shamrock for two years. The only Panhandle change was Boys Ranch dropping to District 1-24, while Grover left District 1-24.

City Approved Pagers for Fire Dept and Show Barn Plans
Wellington city council approved 25 pagers for the volunteer fire department to replace aging units, with bids sought and a possible $7,000 lease purchase.
