W. B. Wilson Dies at 93 After Long Illness
W. B. Wilson, longtime Salt Fork resident and community builder, died Monday at Thomas Nursing Home at 5 55 p m after a lengthy illness. Born March 12 1877 in Ellis County he settled in Salt Fork in 1906 and helped establish the Salt Fork School and Methodist Church. He retired from farming in 1940s and later worked in Barger before returning to Wellington.

Wellington firemen answered two calls Saturday January 30 one a false alarm. A grass fire near Ellison Park could not be located after drive bys and the rural unit responded to a truck fire five miles west of the US 8242 intersection. The driver from Wheeler said a brake drum overheated and sparked but he extinguished it before the unit arrived.
