First Christian Church Christmas Eve Service Planned

First Christian Church will host a Christmas Eve Communion service in Wellington with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and service beginning at 6 p.m. Pastor Bill Baker says the short program includes carols, scripture, and a Candlelight Communion, reflecting on Jesus birth and sacrifice at 700 Haskell Street.

Drama club to host Christmas benefit for Stages family

Samnorwood Drama Club holds an old fashioned Christmas dinner on December 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Samnorwood school cafeteria with all proceeds aiding the John Stages III family after their home fire. Wellington fire department volunteers sell chances on a 16 ft utility trailer to fund a new tanker. Tickets, $10, available from Langford Communication as JD's Auto or any firefighter. Drawing held December 20 during Canadian basketball games.
