Wellington school board approves 1996-97 audit
The Wellington Independent School District Board approved the 1996-97 audit after presentation by Holly Simpson CPA. Bids for property insurance were opened and HRH of Amarillo Option 2 won. coverage begins February 25 1998. A government required resolution for the cafeteria insurance plan was adopted unanimously.

The Bowie Street Church of Christ elders Danny Martin and Troy Thomason announced on Sunday December 14 1997 the appointment of four new deacons Barry Clancy Elmer Keller Kenneth Maxwell and Jack Neeley to serve with current deacons Byron Bell and Ray Floyd After weeks of preparation the congregation submitted qualified candidates per I Timothy 3 8 13 The new deacons were publicly presented after no objections were raised and praised by preacher Kevin Rhodes for the congregation’s cooperation.
