Hospital board moves meeting to high school auditorium
December 15 meeting of Collingsworth County Hospital District faced a crowd of citizens asking questions. The board relocated to the local high school auditorium after a motion passed unanimously. Literacy program meeting rescheduled for January
The Collingsworth literacy program council meeting set for December 14 was canceled due to bad weather. Frances Schmidt, library board president, says the meeting is moved to January 4 at 5 p.m. in the Omni Room of the public library. The program trains volunteers to aid functional illiteracy, with a workshop January 15-16. Prospective students may sign up now by providing name, address, phone, and preferred tutoring day. The library closes December 21-25 and on January 1.
