I Didactics by Desiring Wells
The column notes a late cotton harvest with fields still open for drive by and gins working around the clock. It discusses cotton allotment efforts by Tom Cunningham and others, and mentions Congress ideas about Bob Price as a potential Nixon cabinet appointee. It warns of an Asian termite invasion affecting homes and poles, but notes chemical control prospects. The piece covers Christmas sales gains and local store displays, with literary aside from Louisa May Alcott on writing. It ends with a fragmented line on weekly offerings.
