Dr. Charles Carter of Altus received the Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians designation at the AAFP Scientist Assembly in San Francisco. The 50th annual event honored about 1,000 physicians. the program requires 600 hours of study or diplomate status, plus six years as an AAFP member.
About 450 WTAMU students will graduate in December with ceremonies at 7 p.m. Friday Dec 18 at Amarillo Civic Center Coliseum. Pete Laney Texas House speaker will give the address. he is in his third term as speaker and was named 1998 Man of the Year by Progressive Farmer for service to Texas agriculture.
