Wellington 8th graders tour Pantex facilities

Wellington Junior High eighth graders visited the Pantex Plant near Amarillo on November 21, 1995. The 52 students, plus sponsors, were badgeled and briefed on safety and National Security regulations. They saw disassembly of nuclear weapons, high explosive research, plutonium pits storage, and RAD procedures before touring the perimeter and ending with shopping at Westgate Mall.
