Billboard Compliance Deadline Set for Dec 31 in Texas
Texas highway officials announce the Highway Beautification Act requires all outdoor advertising signs on major highways to obtain state licenses and per mits by December 31. Licenses cost 25 dollars. permits 5 dollars per sign, with bonds for counties. On premise signs are exempt. Existing signs may be permitted to remain until scheduled for acquisition.
