Panhandle Economic Program study slated Dec 8 meeting
Wellington and Collingsworth County representatives join public sessions across the Panhandle Monday through Thursday December 5 to 8. The Memphis event on December 8 runs 1 30 to 4 30 pm at the community building with 100 to 200 expected. Presenters include SCS ASCS FHA Texas A M University and state agencies as the Panhandle Economic Program aims to boost agricultural income through resource use.

Mrs. M. N. Orr Hall County Pioneer Dies
Mrs. M N Orr of Memphis a Hall County pioneer died Saturday afternoon November 19 in Hall County Hospital after a short illness. Born July 3 1886 in Denton County she came to Hall County in 1903 at 17 and lived in Alaska until 1960. She married Milton Newton Orr April 1 1906 at the family home in Alaska. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Rebekah Lodge. Funeral Monday at 2 p.m. at Memphis First Methodist Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Survived by husband three daughters and four sons including Dr J M Orr of Wellington and Dr William N Orr of Littlefield. a sister and two brothers. Pallbearers listed with honorary bearers.
