James Columbus Hartman Jr known as J C Hartman of Wellington died Friday August 15 2008 in Wellington. Services were held Sunday August 17 2008 at 2 p m at First Baptist Church Wellington with Dr Kevin Everett officiating Burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery Adams Funeral Home. He served in the Navy 1943 1945 aboard USS Edsall crossing the Atlantic 14 times. He married Madonna Belle Thomas in New York City June 9 1945. He farmed west of Wellington and was a deacon at Buck Creek Missionary Baptist and later Port Mansfield Community Church Memorials to charity.
