Ronnie Pate Lester, 52, died at home in Holtsville New York on Monday July 25 2005. Born in Wellington March 8 1953 to Pate T. Lester and Lorene F. Lester long time Amarillo residents. He lived in Amarillo 46 years before moving to Holtsville in 1999. He worked for Costco in Holbrook. Preceded by his father and two brothers. Survived by his mother Lorene Lester Nelson two sisters and fiancée. Private family memorial planned.

Wellington to Hold Special Meeting on Tax Rate Proposal
The City of Wellington will hold a special meeting at 6:00 p.m. on September 12, 2005 at City Hall to consider adopting a proposed tax rate for year 2005. The rate is .22378 per $100 of value and would raise total city taxes by about 4 percent.
