Wellington rodeo costs set. Lions Club to run gates
The Wellington rodeo will charge four dollars for adults and three dollars for children under twelve. Parking and admissions will be managed by the Wellington Lions Club. Gratitude was expressed for donations from local businesses, the Glynn Moore Post, VFW, and members, enabling the rodeo to continue and grow as an annual event drawing contestants and fans from Texas and Oklahoma. The next Wellington Rodeo Association meeting is scheduled for Monday Aug 16 at 7 p.m. at the VFW arena. Bus drivers are listed as Schaub, Decker, Smith, Laverne Bentley, Mona Darrow, Jayne Bell and Janice Thompson.
