Chapel Choir Plans North American Mission Tour 1973
The Chapel Choir of First Baptist Church Carrollton Texas will perform ONE WAY a Christian Folk Musical on a 15 day mission tour from June 17 to July 1 1973. Fifty five choir members and twelve sponsors depart June 17 for 13 states and two Canadian provinces with concerts in Baptist churches across the Midwest and Plains regions and in Ontario. The group will visit Green Bay Wisconsin meeting Packers coach Dan Devine and spend a day at Northern Grace Youth Camp on Lake Berry.

The Red Cross Bloodmobile visits Wellington on Tuesday July 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at the American Legion Basement. About 130 pints are needed with 88 donors signed up. Walk-ins may face tighter times between 10:15 and 11:15 a.m. and noon to 1:00 p.m. A $25 Savings Bond will be drawn from donors.

Explorer Post 303 Finishes Canadian Canoe Trail
Seven Wellington Explorer Scouts from Post 303 led by David Hall completed an eight day canoe expedition through Quetico National Forest in Canada. The group, aided by First United Methodist Church sponsorship and Wellington Daily News support, traveled from Ames Iowa to Duluth Minnesota before reaching the Charles L. Sommers Canoe Base. They returned home June 29 after a demanding trek with northern pike and lake trout as rewards.
