Husband sought in slaying of Denver woman
Denver police and police in Kansas launched a two state hunt for Wendell Paul Hughes 40 after his wife Donna Hughes 37 was found slain in her east Denver bedroom with a razor or knife and a cleaver used in the attack. The killer is believed to have fled toward Hutchinson Kansas and Boulder Colorado. The victim's daughter Michelle Goodwin 16 and half sister Marcia 14 were told their mother was ill before the crime.
