Kansas approves 51.5 million in crime fighting grants

Governor’s Criminal Administration Committee approved federal crime fighting funds for Kansas law enforcement. Grants include Wichita and Topeka planning sums, narcotics and drug abuse programs, jail and probation supports, patrol and training initiatives, and university research efforts totaling over 1.5 million in grants to multiple counties and agencies. Some requests were not approved.
