Anke Schulz a 22 year old German Rural Youth Club member from near Hamburg joins Kerris Howell family in south central Kansas under a 4H exchange program. She will spend six months in the United States with three months on Kansas farms and three in Minnesota, sharing farm life and customs and sending updates home while receiving hospitality and learning American ways.

George T Reed Dies at Cedarview Nursing Home
George T Reed 8 of Riverdale a retired farmer died Tuesday night at Cedarview Nursing Home. He was born near Wellington July 30 1880 and lived in Riverdale and Wellington his life. He married Edna Heskett who died July 4 1982. He belonged to Rivverdale Methodist Church Masonic Lodge at Belle Plaine Wichita Consistory and the Shrine. Survivors include three brothers Claude Homosassa Springs Fla Melvin and Frank Riverside Calif, three sisters Iva Dunham Brighton Colo Martha Hadley Riverside Calif and Maude Grigsby St Maries Idaho. A Masonic graveside service will be held with burial at Prairie Lawn cemetery. Visitation at Frank Funeral Home tonight.
