Voters across Sumner County cast a decisive no to the proposal to reduce districts from 28 to six. Rural voters led the 1346 to 657 defeat, urban areas 701 to 388 against, with only Argonia Conway Springs and Oxford carrying the plan. Planning Board notes no revised plan likely for Sept 8. South Haven Wellington Caldwell votes also opposed strongly.
